Saturday, March 11, 2017, 10:00am - 11:00am

March11 PreservingYourCollectionsLearn how to protect and preserve your family collections at Fairfield Museum and History Center! Conservation specialist Donia Conn will talk about the steps you can take to preserve your family photos, letters and other treasures for generations to come. This workshop will be run concurrent with a Digitization Day: Remembering World War I , which will be held on Saturday, March 25 here at the Pequot Library from 11am - 3pm.

The year 2017 marks the 100th Anniversary of the United States' entry into World War One. In an effort to help preserve this significant part of our history, Pequot Library is partnering Fairfield Museum and History Center to host the Connecticut State Library’s Remembering World War One project Digitization Day and preservation workshop, Preserving Your Family Treasures.

This Preserving Your Family Collections has been made possible in part by the Connecticut State Library and a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Exploring the human endeavor.
