FOR AGES 7-12 Help Pequot Library "Build a Better World" during this new summer workshop! This week long half-day program teaches kids the value of service to others through stories, games, and projects. Kids will discover that they have the power to make a difference in their local and global communities through small acts of kindness. Each day kids will learn about a new country and the children who live there. Service projects include: painting and packaging blanket kits for hospitals, boxing books for shipping to schools, providing notes of love, creating a shoebox of school supplies, and making toys like jump ropes, pick-up sticks, cat's cradles, and ribbon dancers for distribution. Includes a daily snack time and Around the World Frisbee break! Workshop led by: Pricing: To receive the Member discount, please join the Friends of Pequot Library.
