Parenting Practices: Positive Parenting for Everyday Challenges

parenting workshop over coffeeFor parents of children up through kindergarten. Do you have questions about your child’s behavior, growth, or development? Would you like to have the opportunity to meet and talk with an expert who can listen and help address your questions, all in the comfort of a casual, relaxed atmosphere? Here’s your chance!

Join Parenting Consultant Susan O’Brien for some coffee, light refreshments, and meaningful conversation on a range of parenting and child development topics. Ms. O’Brien will lead three workshops for parents and caregivers of young children.

Today's Topic: Positive Parenting for Everyday Challenges

This program will help parents rethink parenting challenges and provide positive strategies to reduce stress at home. The program will also discuss how to establish family rules that will teach your children to listen and restore family harmony.

Children ages 3-5 accompanying their caregiver may join the Children’s Librarian for a special storytime and craft from 10:30 to 11.

Free and open to the public. Registration Recommended.

About the Presenter:Susan OBrien

Susan Reichman O'Brien graduated from Columbia University School of Social Work in 1984 and is licensed clinical social worker with twenty-five years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in private and public counseling agencies. Susan has also been a school consultant and is currently a group facilitator for discussion groups on issues regarding child development and parenting.
