Make Recycled Art

Enter Pequot’s green art show and turn the plastic that's harming our oceans into a visually stunning creation. It could be a sea turtle, seabird, fish or any other marine life affected by ocean pollution. Artwork on display in the Children’s Library from October 14 - 22 during regular Library Hours.  All artwork will be made at home.

Make artwork at home bring in on October 14

•    For Ages 4 and up
•    Create an ocean animal out of recycled plastic at home
•    Bring in your finished piece to Pequot Library by October 14, 2017
•    Artwork will be displayed in the Children’s Library October 14-22, 2017
•    Your art can be up to 2 feet wide and 2 feet tall
•    Your art must include recycled plastic (bottle, bag, carton, etc…)
•    Your art must include an index card with: artist’s name(s); the title of the piece; and one fact that you have learned about ocean pollution
•    All plastic must be pre-washed (Dawn works well).
•    If you like artwork can include other materials, including but not limited to fabric, feathers, string, buttons and/or a written component (text or poetry).
