Emerging Artists Concert: Cameron Chase, violin

web Cameron TuckerSupport your local artists! Pequot Library is proud to partner with Music for Youth for a brand new concert series. Each artist is an emerging and extraordinary talent who is either attending a music conservatory program or in the process of applying. Pequot Library is proud to offer these world-class musicians a stage to showcase their talents to the local community. Artists for the 2018 series will be selected from the finalist of the Music for Youth Marianne Liberatore Scholarship Competition.  

Free and open to the public. No registration required. Light refreshments served.

About the Artist:
Cameron Chase, 17, started playing violin when he was five; currently he studies with Hyo Kang at The Juilliard Pre-College Program as well as Regi Papa. In 2016 he played Vieuxtemps Violin Concerto No. 5 with the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra and in 2014 he won the American Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition in Fairfield. In addition he has played in numerous chamber groups concentrating on the classical repertoire. He is a homeschooler and lives in Stratford, CT.
